We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our legal team as a Trial Attorney. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing a docket of employment law cases ensuring efficient case progression and achieving favorable outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court trials hearings arbitrations and mediations.
- Develop case strategies and present arguments before judges and juries.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings motions and briefs.
- Interview witnesses gather evidence and prepare for trial.
- Negotiate settlements and plea agreements when appropriate.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on litigation matters.
- Work collaboratively with legal teams paralegals and investigators.
- Stay up to date with changes in laws regulations and legal precedents.
- Manage and supervise junior attorneys and support staff.
- Review and analyze complex employment law documents and contracts.
- Monitor compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
- Participate in client development and business generation activities.
- Maintain detailed case files and documentation.
- Develop and implement litigation budgets.
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants.
Qualifications :
Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
Experience:
- 2 years of litigation experience
- Ideally the candidate will have trial experience.
- Strong background in procedural rules (e.g. Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure).
Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
- Project management and ability to work as a team player with litigation associates.
