Credit Control Team Leader

The role will:

  • Monitor analyze and improve the implementation of the companys Credit Policy (Dunning Procedure) ensuring effective and timely debt recovery.
  • Coordinate collection actions & Ensure compliance with credit policy by overseeing the Customer Service Collections team.
  • Communicate directly with public sector clients to expedite collections assess payment behavior and arrange settlements when necessary.
  • Evaluate customer transactional behavior and calculate credit scores to support risk assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Department to maintain strong client relationships while accelerating collections through regular meetings.
  • Handle complex and sensitive cases through negotiation to achieve successful recoveries.
  • Extract and analyze data for monthly quarterly and annual closings including aging reports bad debt provisions and estimations.
  • Coordinate and guide the Collections team by setting priorities and allocating responsibilities in line with company goals.
  • Provide regular reporting to evaluate collection activities and financial outcomes and propose targeted actions to improve KPIs and overall performance.


Requirements
  • BSc in Economics Accounting Business Administration or a related field. A Masters degree will be considered a strong asset.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a structured Credit Control or Legal Case Management department.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; expert-level knowledge of Excel is essential.
  • Familiarity with CRM Billing and ERP systems including data monitoring updates and report generation.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of legal aspects related to credit control is desirable.
