The A Side: A Day in The Life
Working with world renowned artists from Ludovico Einaudi and The Teskey Brothers to Diana Ross and Andrea Bocelli alongside internationally ground-breaking young artists such as Aurora Jacob Collier and Jordan Rakei is all in a days work at Decca Records. Home to icons of pop jazz classical Americana and more Decca Records - synonymous with 60s rocknroll - has been defining music of all genres since 1929. We are an exciting and vibrant label at Decca with a team who are passionate about delivering outstanding campaigns of all genres to the broadest range of music lovers.
As a core member of the Commercial team youll be responsible for supporting the operation of the team with particular emphasis on efficient communication flow responsive reporting and accurate setup of key project information on internal & external systems. Youll work closely with the Marketing A&R Label Operations Data Insights and UMGs Central Commercial teams.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Organised
Gather assets to support pitching for digital partners (press shots liners videos audio links artwork etc)
Set up and distribute pre-orders via weekly emails to all physical partners
Help maintain Deccas physical schedule
Compile artist presentation decks for both regular & ad hoc meetings with commercial partners
Collateinfo and complete weekly pitch forms for all DSPs & Central Digital Partnerships Team
Administer weekly sales information distribution to physical retailers
Manage Spotify Label Inventory allocation requests and coordination of asset delivery between Marketing and Central Digi Partnerships teams
Responsible for updating DSPs on artist promo updates & resurgence track streaming uplift
Track physical/digital links and passing onto marketing teams for use within linkfires mailers etc
Assist Commercial Manager on retail campaigns
Be Analytical
Report on a variety of campaigns (streaming physical and eCommerce) with relevant sales data using the UMGs suite of analytics tools
Help identify streaming spikes and potential reasons (eg. TikTok trend/playlist add/promo etc)
Help deliver weekly presentations on physical & streaming headlines with analytical findings to the label including insights on performance metrics.
Become the expert in utilising all external partner tools (eg. OCC Spotify For Artists Apple Music For Artists etc) as well as 3rdparty data tools (eg. Chartmetric)
Analyse competitor physical campaigns and feedback to commercial team plus wider label
Be Administrative
Help manage Deccas eCommerce Merch & Music Schedule
Help manage artist tour stock requests
Set up physical product on UMGs stock management tool (OPD)
Monitor storefronts both retailer and D2C to ensure all product information is live and correct
Understand each platforms playlist ecosystem keeping wider label teams updated with major playlist adds
Ensure all artist profiles across DSPs are kept up to date
Build the relationship & take ownership of the pitching into our internal UMG Owned & Operated properties
Collaborate closely with the wider marketing label & promo teams providing information where required
Person Specification
A passion for & broad knowledge of multiple musical genres and audiences; a love of music across classical & jazz is a bonus
Display initiative with a proactive energetic approach to work
Strong clear communication & interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent IT skills; must be proficient in PowerPoint Word Excel Google Docs and comfortable with learning new systems e.g. proprietary UMG tracking tools
