Industrial Millwright - Weekend shift

The Opportunity:

Our pork processing plant in Brandon is currently seeking an enthusiastic motivated and energetic individual to join the Maple Leaf family. Are you motivated ready to be challenged and are driven to succeed in an environment that rewards success

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

• Perform preventive maintenance on processing equipment as required
• Perform repairs to processing equipment as required
• Perform preventive maintenance on building mechanical systems as required
• Perform repairs to building mechanical systems as required
• Primary responsibility for this role will be looking after the Robotic Belly Trimmer (RBT)
• Troubleshooting and problem solving
• Use of computerized maintenance management system
• Please note the hours for this role include: Friday - 6:00am - 2:30pm l Saturday & Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm and Monday 6:00am - 2:30pm

What Youll Bring:

• Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate is required
• Minimum two years of experience as a Millwright preferable in a food production facility
• The minimum two years experience must have been in the previous 5 years
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Highly motivated able to work well with minimal supervision
• Environmental work conditions can range from a cool environment to one that is hot and wet
• Will be required to work outdoors in all seasons
