Statewide SA Pharmacy
The Barossa Hills Fleurieu SA Pharmacy service is expanding to meet the needs of the growing community. The SA Pharmacy team based in Mt Barker will be extending clinical pharmacy services to Mt Pleasant and Gumeracha. The position will be based in Mount Barker with a need to visit all 3 sites as part of the role. Clinical pharmacy services can be offered by telehealth when needed to ensure equity for all patients in the BHFLHN. Be part of this growing team including a new Emergency Department part of the new Mount Barker Hospital redevelopment and also the potential to be part of Partnered Prescribing in the near future.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Pharmacist to take on a key leadership role in the management and day-to-day operations of a designated pharmacy area. In this role you will provide high-level pharmacy services exercising independent clinical judgement to support the safe and effective use of medicines. You will be a valued source of therapeutic advice and medicines information for patients clinicians nurses and allied health professionals contributing to the delivery of quality care within a multidisciplinary team.
You will play an integral role in promoting the quality use of medicines by implementing evidence-based strategies that ensure safety efficacy and cost-effectiveness in line with hospital policies and professional standards. Your work will have a direct impact on patient outcomes and you will be supported to engage in service improvement initiatives to continually enhance pharmacy practice. About You
You are a qualified and experienced hospital pharmacist with a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centred care. You bring strong leadership communication and organisational skills to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and are registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
Demonstrated experience in hospital pharmacy with proven leadership or supervisory capabilities and a sound understanding of clinical governance.
Strong analytical problem-solving and research skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and contribute to service improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to educate staff and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
