Overview
The ABAP BTP Workflow Developer plays a critical role in designing and implementing business workflows using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and ABAP programming. This position focuses on enhancing system efficiency and automating business processes which are integral to optimizing the organization s operations. A successful candidate will be adept in ABAP programming and have hands-on experience with SAP workflows on the BTP. The role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements optimize processes and deliver tailor-made solutions that align with business objectives. The importance of this role cannot be overstated; effective workflow management directly contributes to increased productivity error reduction and improved service delivery within the organization. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practices in SAP environment the ABAP BTP Workflow Developer will ensure that workflows are not only efficient but also scalable and maintainable for future enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and implement workflows on SAP BTP using ABAP.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
- Analyze existing workflows and identify areas for improvement and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate workflows with other SAP modules.
- Perform thorough testing of developed workflows to ensure compliance with business requirements.
- Debug and troubleshoot workflow issues to facilitate smooth operations.
- Maintain technical documentation for developed workflows to aid knowledge transfer.
- Provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing workflows.
- Ensure compliance with best practices and SAP development standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions with team members.
- Monitor and optimize performance of workflows in production environments.
- Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and trends.
- Conduct user training and support for workflow-related functionalities.
- Provide input on BTP-related initiatives and project scoping.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ABAP programming.
- Proven experience in implementing workflows on SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Strong understanding of SAP modules and integration points.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications and UI5.
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting ABAP programs.
- Knowledge of data modeling and process automation techniques.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and propose effective solutions.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with version control systems like GIT.
- SAP certification in ABAP or BTP is a plus.
- Knowledge of security best practices in SAP environment.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and tools as needed.
