Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Manager to lead site operations and installations in the mining industry. This role is based in Thabazimbi and will be on a contract basis for the duration of the project. It is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of on-site ensuring safety efficiency and quality standards are consistently met.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing installation projects from the ground up coordinating with cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations at the mining site and ensure project timelines are adhered to.
Manage the installation process and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Lead and supervise site staff contractors and technical teams.
Liaise with clients engineers and project managers to ensure expectations are aligned and deliverables are met.
Conduct regular site inspections and enforce safety protocols.
Manage inventory materials and site resources efficiently.
Troubleshoot on-site issues and implement timely solutions.
Requirements
A recognized trade qualification.
Minimum of 5 years experience in site management or a supervisory role in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record in managing installation projects on active mining sites.
Excellent understanding of health safety and environmental compliance.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to demanding site conditions.
Valid driver s license and willingness to travel to remote sites if required.
