The Resources & Collections team is responsible for acquisition access and management of the Librarys physical and digital collections including special collections.
Our team is a friendly group committed to supporting the University Library and the wider Academic Community. We provide essential resources and services for the university and pride ourselves on offering friendly and professional assistance to all.
Your New Role
As a Library Officer Resource & Collection you will be an integral part of two teams supporting both the Resource Acquisitions and the Metadata & Collections teams. Under the guidance of the Senior Library Officer Resource Acquisition your responsibilities will include:
Resource Acquisitions:Engaging in tasks related to the acquisition of physical and digital resources for the library. This includes ordering receipting invoicing and end processing of all items for the collection.
Document Delivery:Providing document delivery services to patrons both on and off campus.
Collection Maintenance:Support the evaluation and upkeep of all the collections and resources.
Special Collections: Assist with processing and archiving of various material from the Special Collection.

This Continuous Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $62K $76K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Selection Criteria:
Essential
Completion of Year 12; or equivalent relevant experience or combination of relevant experience and education/training
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of client groups and with colleagues
Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently as required
Experience in the effective use of software applications and library management systems
Demonstrated ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable
Previous experience working in a library
Previous experience working with invoicing and receipting procedures especially in a library context
Previous experience working with interlibrary loan and resource sharing services
Previous experience working with editing and maintaining bibliographic records
