Position Summary: Administer the companys US Divisions bookkeeping activities including ensuring timely and accurate processing and recording of invoices payments and financial transactions.
Please note this is a HYBRID (i.e. Office & Remote) position. The incumbent would be required to work at least two days a week in our Fairfax VA headquarters location.
Essential Duties:
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process including invoicing collections and recording payment.
- Prepare client and vendor balance statements and follow up with past dues.
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process including processing vendor invoices obtaining approval for payments and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audits.
- Communicate with customers vendors and independent contractors to answer questions and resolve issues or discrepancies.
- Prepare intercompany invoices including those for global support and global expenses billed to other BARE offices.
- Maintain a cash flow forecast based on AR/AP predictions in cooperation with management.
- Assist with data entry to maintain
timely bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online and proprietary databases.
- Support payroll preparation.
- Complete other accounting and finance tasks as assigned.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- Two years hands-on bookkeeping or similar experience strongly preferred particularly in a small- to medium-sized company.
- Two years applied Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Proven ability to understand and apply foundational financial and accounting guidelines and principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of QuickBooks Online highly desired.
- Strong and demonstrated history of work approach and output being detail-oriented and accurate.
- Track record of processing sound judgement and handing confidential or proprietary information discreetly.
- Proven ability to manage time and resources effectively; ability to flourish within a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated history of taking an action-oriented and results-focused approach to responsibilities and objectives.
- Excellent oral and written communications; ability to present information appropriately to a diverse population.
- History of asking for help and clarification when needed ability to accept and implement feedback.
