JOB SUMMARY
The Workday Architect leads the design configuration and governance of our Workday tenant. This role is critical to ensuring our Workday environment supports the complex and evolving needs of a modern higher education institution including Human Capital Management (HCM) Financials Payroll and Student. Serving as a key member of the enterprise systems team works collaboratively across administrative and academic units to align tenant architecture with institutional goalssupporting operational excellence compliance and strategic transformation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and skills required for this position are normally obtained through a Bachelors degree in Information Systems Business Administration or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 5 years of Workday experience including tenant architecture configuration and security.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least two Workday functional areas such as HCM Financials or Payroll.
- Workday certifications strongly preferred (e.g. Workday Pro Workday Certified Architect HCM/Finance/Security).
- Strong knowledge of Workday integration tools and frameworks (EIB Core Connectors Studio APIs).
- Experience with Workday Student or experience implementing enterprise systems in higher education
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
1) Lead the architectural design and governance of the Workday tenant ensuring alignment with higher education requirements and best practices. Develop and maintain scalable secure and future-proof tenant configurations across all Workday domains (HCM Financials Payroll Student). 55%
2) Serve as the architectural liaison between functional leads IT and Workday translating institutional needs into sustainable tenant solutions. 10%
3) Manage security design and access controls to support the unique privacy and compliance standards of a higher education environment. 10%
4) Oversee configuration change processes and maintain environment integrity across production sandbox and implementation tenants. Maintain detailed documentation of tenant architecture decision frameworks configuration inventories and audit logs. 20%
5) Lead peer reviews and provide technical mentorship to Workday analysts and support staff. 5%

$112180.00 - $162662.50With the pay range(s) shown above the starting salary will depend on several factors which may include your education experience location knowledge and expertise and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
