Come work for a therapist owned company. We value our therapists!Boston Speech Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to work in a school in Somerville. This is a full time one year 1099 contract position. The pay is $40 per hour. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help Students recover from injuries improve mobility and enhance their overall physical function. You will play a vital role in providing quality care addressing students mobility goals in a school setting. Responsibilities Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans/goals for student progress and report changes to the supervising students and their families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise accurate documentation of progress a safe and clean environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize student Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare working with geriatric populations is preferred particularly in skilled nursing facilities or acute care with physical therapy practicesStrong understanding of anatomy to assist in developing appropriate treatment experience in schools will be beneficial for this us in making a difference in the lives of our patients as we work together to promote healing and recovery through dedicated physical therapy assistance.
