Job Description
Job Title: Graduate Assistant for Club Softball (Part-time)
Reporting Relationship: Head Softball Coach
Unit: IWU-Marion
Department: Intercollegiate Athletics-IWU Marion
Campus Location: Recreation & Wellness Center Marion IN
Duties and Responsibilities
- IWU Club Team:
- provide instruction to student-athletes in practice and game settings
- serve as primary recruiter
- lead discipleship opportunities
- manage operating budget and equipment
- schedule all practices and games
- fulfill leadership opportunities for the team in any other way needed
- additional duties within the IWU athletic department assigned as needed IWU Varsity Sport Program
- provide instruction to student-athletes by showing techniques and working to improve performance during practice and games
- provide feedback on individual workouts and group practice
- assist in recruiting new team members and retaining current players
- responsible for recording video footage assessing plays
- overseeing team travel
- preparing for games
- identifying skills and weaknesses
- fulfilling other duties as needed
- assist in leading discipleship initiatives
Qualifications:According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
- Bachelors degree
- Current enrollment in a graduate program

- Experience in playing softball
