Location: Remote instruction from RMA Pasadena campus
Reports To: District CCMR Coordinator
Status: Full-Time Exempt Salary: Based on RMA Board-Approved Scale
Travel: Occasional as needed
About the Role
Richard Milburn Academy (RMA) is seeking a passionate and creative Distance CTE Teacher to deliver engaging virtual instruction in Graphic Design and other digital media courses within the Arts Audio/Video Technology & Communications (AAVTC) career pathway.
This role is ideal for an educator with experience in online teaching and a strong background in digital design tools. Instruction will be broadcast from our Pasadena campus to students at multiple RMA campuses with a focus on helping students gain real-world skills and earn industry certifications.
What Youll Do
Teach remote AAVTC/Graphic Design courses aligned to TEKS and CTE Program of Study standards
Support students in building digital portfolios and earning certifications (Adobe Certified Professional PrintED etc.)
Collaborate with the CCMR Coordinator to develop project-based lessons
Use Canvas LMS and digital tools to track progress provide feedback and support at-risk students
Serve as the lead content expert for AAVTC instruction across assigned campuses
Work alongside campus-based staff (Associate Teachers) to ensure student success
What Youll Need
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred Texas certification in one or more of the following:
Technology Applications EC12
Trade & Industrial Education with Graphic Design or AAVTC experience
Arts A/V Technology & Communications 612
Experience with digital design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite Canva etc.
Experience teaching in a virtual environment; proficiency with Canvas LMS and video broadcasting tools
Knowledge of industry-recognized certifications (Adobe PrintED etc.)
Strong virtual classroom management and communication skills
Passion for supporting at-risk youth in a remote learning setting
Schedule & Work Environment
MondayFriday during regular school hours
Remote teaching from the Pasadena campus with virtual connections to other campuses
Occasional travel for in-person trainings or events may be required
