Job Title:- Lead Specialist - Machining Engineering
Location:- Bangalore
Job Specification:-
- Candidate with Engineering background (B.E. Mechanical / Tech / M Tech only)
- Good Communicationand presentation Skills.
- Knowledge of metal cutting/machine operations
- Preferably Worked inmanufacturing/shop floor/TestingLab/Design/NC programming.
- Minimum experience 4 years.
Job Summary:-
- Product test Engineer to conduct metal working tests in the Global Machining Technology lab (GMT) and support Product engineering activities.
- Collaborate with global GMT team members on a regular basis for team meetings on projects and testing.
- Make Reports and presentations and share it respective team.
- Participate as a member or Host global GMT calls on project updates and take inputs and feedback from the marketing and sales team members.
- Work with the Application and Sales team for technical product support and help to manufacture to improve productivity. Support Knowledge center technical training programs.
Key Job Responsibilities:-
- Conduct product testing in Lab as per Standard test procedures and make comprehensive report and share it with concerned project leader and team. Schedule test date in discussion with GMT manager.
- Collaborate with Sales and Application team for conducting Field testing of the tools at customer places and consolidate the reports to present to product engineering and marketing team.
- Support Manufacturing / Quality/ Product Engineering department for measurement Inspection of tools and conducting performance evaluation tests and help in analysis of failures and solve technical problems associated with test request.
- Knowledge center training programs for technical theory and lab demonstration of product features for comprehensive course and Sale and Distributor training program.
- Host Drill-Mill-Turn calls on Quarterly basis for global team for Project updates and collect feedback and inputs from the sales and application team participants.
- Customer product tests to evaluate the performance of product and make comparative test analysis to collaborate with application and quality team to solve customer complaints.
- Perform New product tests and demonstration to train Sales and application team in association with product team.
- Support to prepare product prototype in steel and carbide and collaborate with NC programing and Manufacturing.
- Review Product Literature and catalogue for technical details and conduct benchmark test with competitor tools.
- Participate in EHS Safety Kaizen Find & Fix ISO programs and take proactive approach towards continuous improvement programs.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures Safety rules and adhere to company policy and rules.
- Collaborate with Global GMT team on a regular basis regarding global project updates.
- Collaborate with team members and report the progress and findings with the GMT manager / Supervisor on regular basis.
- Support & train new apprentices Interns on technical aspects of metal cutting.
