The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking a Flight Test Quality Manager to join our team in Seattle WA. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of non-exempt (IAM751) hourly Flight Test Quality inspectors supporting various aircraft flight test programs. This position is based in Seattle but may also require working at other Puget Sound sites.
This position may require up to 20% domestic and international travel based on business needs.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage employees who evaluate and ensure that products services and processes comply with customer contract requirements engineering requirements company procedures and government regulations
Develop and execute business plans policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
Provide education and coaching on the Quality System
May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
Acquire and manage resources and leads process improvements
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners suppliers and direct reports
Manage develop and motivate employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Current and valid FAA Airframe and Power Plant License
5 years of experience with flight line operations
5 years of experience with Boeing single body and wide body aircraft models
3 years of experience in a field quality inspector position
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally on short notice
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
5 years of experience with Boeing maintenance execution systems (CMES MESci Velocity)
3 years of experience working in a Flight Test environment
2 years of experience as a Manager supporting field operations.
Material Review Board Designee
Strong familiarity with FAA CFAR Title 14 parts 91 and 145.
