Job Description

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Reports directly to the Clinical Director or Center Administrator.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Coordinator (Part-Time) is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for supporting day-to-day clinical operations and oversight of the center. This role works part-time hours with scheduling flexibility based on center needs. Responsibilities include coordinating clinical activities supporting staff utilization ensuring regulatory compliance and providing patient care as needed. The position plays a key role in promoting high-quality patient-centered care while collaborating with full-time leadership and clinical staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the daily clinical operations of the center in collaboration with full-time leadership.
  • Participate in staff training onboarding and performance feedback as appropriate.
  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment planning intervention and evaluation) during assigned hours.
  • Support compliance with clinical protocols documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure best practices are upheld.
  • Participate in team meetings or case reviews as requested.
  • Infection Control Practitioner
    • Responsible for monthly Infection Control Reports and results.
    • Perform SSI investigations as needed.
    • Employee Health responsible for staff annual TB questionnaire and health screening and employee flu vaccine program.
    • Maintain all OSHA paperwork and annual requirements
    • Complete IC quarterly reports and meetings for the Board meetings
    • Hold IC quarterly committee meetings.
    • Evaluate and update the IC Plan and ICRA annually.
    • Perform quarterly hand hygiene observations.
    • Attend local and national IC meetings if appropriate and approved. Attend all corporate IC monthly meetings.
    • Keep personal IC education updated.
  • Quality Measures
    • Report all Quality measures to corporate monthly.
    • Manage incidents in RL Datix.
    • Report all ASCQR
  • Performance Improvement
    • Hold PI committee meetings quarterly
    • Complete Risk Management Infection and Benchmarking reports quarterly.
    • Review patient surveys weekly monthly and quarterly.
    • Identify areas that need improvement and implement PI projects.
    • Educate staff and credentialled staff annually.
    • Peer Review/chart audits
    • Coordinate BLS/ACLS/PALS for staff.
  • Employee Personnel Files
    • Keep all staff files updated in RFX or other approved platform.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Solid clinical expertise in nursing practices and patient care standards.
  • Ability to lead and mentor staff within a limited part-time scope.
  • Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and clinical policies.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient ambulatory care or similar healthcare settings strongly preferred.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Clinical setting with potential exposure to communicable diseases biohazards and medical equipment.
  • Requires regular standing walking and the ability to lift or assist patients.
  • Work hours may vary (e.g. mornings evenings or weekends) based on center needs.
  • May occasionally travel to affiliated sites for meetings or training.
