Pay Range: Generally starting at $3000 per 3-credit hour course; $1000 per credit hour. Courses with low enrollment (less than 12 students) may be canceled. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Work Location: Determined by course modality. Generally on campus in person. Remote teaching opportunities may be available under certain conditions.

*This position is open only to Colorado state residents or those that intend to reside in the state of Colorado while employed by UCCS.

Summary

TheCollege of Educationat the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool ofLecturersin theCounseling and Human Services program from which future appointments to temporary non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made position will teach graduate and/or undergraduate Counseling and Human Services classes. Graduate classes align with CACREP standards and accreditation. Undergraduate courses are designed to meet the standards outlined by the Council for Standards in Human Services. Classes primarily meet in-person on-campus and also may be offered in hybrid weekend intensive and other formats.

This is an evergreen Lecturer Pool for the Department of Counseling and Human Services at UCCS. Applications will be reviewed on a semester-by-semester basis as business needs arise.

Because this appointment is temporary in nature you will not be eligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided to faculty under the standard University of Colorado benefits programs. You are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave medical or retirement benefits. However you are eligible to accrue sick leave at 0.034 hours of sick leave per hour worked.
