Were seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager who is detail-oriented client-focused and excited to grow within the insurance and employee benefits industry.


About the Role


In this role youll take on responsibilities such as supporting client onboarding managing day-to-day service needs coordinating open enrollment activities and assisting with benefits renewals and marketing efforts. Youll work closely with consultants and clients to deliver exceptional service and maintain strong collaborative relationships. This role offers hands-on experience in the insurance and employee benefits industry along with access to comprehensive training and opportunities for professional development. What Youll Do

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for a designated book of business addressing benefit-related inquiries including claims and administrative support while maintaining strong positive client relationships to ensure account retention.
  • Open Enrollment Coordination: Support the planning and execution of open enrollment by preparing materials coordinating logistics requesting carrier materials and participating in client meetings.
  • Renewal and Marketing Support: Assist in collecting renewal data including census information attending pre-renewal meetings as needed obtaining quotes following up with underwriters and issuing binding instructions in collaboration with the consultant.
  • Client Presentations: Participate in client presentations to communicate renewal strategies benefit options and other key updates.
  • Collaboration with Consultants: Work closely with consultants to develop stewardship reports service plans and execute strategic recommendations including TCA recommendations.
  • Policy and Data Management: Maintain accurate policy information in the agency management system.
  • Client Onboarding and Implementation: Support new client setup resolve eligibility issues deliver administrative kits and ID cards and assist with implementation tasks.
  • Billing and Audit Assistance: Assist with client billing audits and resolve discrepancies.
  • Industry Knowledge Development: Stay informed on market trends carrier offerings and regulatory changes. This ongoing learning supports informed client guidance and professional growth.
  • Other Key Tasks: Participate in internal meetings support special projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team performance and client outcomes. Travel 20% of the time.

What You Bring

  • Education and Work Experience: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 1-5 years of employee benefits agency/broker or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • License or Certification Requirements:
      • Current or obtain Colorado Life & Health Insurance License within 2 months of hire date
      • Actively pursuing industry designations as required to perform the duties of the position
      • Current Colorado drivers license and acceptable MVR
  • Client Service Expertise: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as the primary point of contact for clients addressing benefit-related questions and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks coordinate open enrollment activities and support marketing and renewal processes in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with employee benefits insurance products and carrier processes along with a willingness to stay current on market trends and regulations.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling policy data preparing client materials and supporting billing audits is essential for delivering reliable service and maintaining data integrity.

    • Salary Range - Starting pay for this exempt position is $annually. Pay may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates commensurate with experience. In addition to regular pay this position is eligible to participate in our annual performance incentive program.
