The Clerical Paraprofessional provides administrative and clerical support to the main office. This role requires strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive student records with confidentiality and care. The individual serves as a key point of contact for students families and staff helping to maintain the smooth operation of daily school functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and route incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Greet and assist students parents staff and visitors
- Provide general clerical support including filing copying faxing scanning and data entry
- Maintain daily student attendance and discipline records accurately in the student information system
- Process student discipline absences tardies and early dismissals
- Monitor and compile discipline and attendance reports for administration and staff as needed
Maintain confidential special education files and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations - Assist case managers and special education staff with scheduling meeting notices and documentation
- Support communication between families and the school
- Coordinate student passes and track student movement as needed
- Support supervision of students in the main office when necessary
- Assist with preparation of mailings notices and communications to families
- Support special projects events and school functions as needed
- Collaborate with other office staff to ensure coverage and continuity of operations
This is a fulltime 10 month benefits eligible positionthrough SLRSD and part of the SLEA paraprofessional contract.
