Job Description
The Interim Healthcare Augusta Team is looking for a new office team member to fill the Medical Billing and Records Specialist role. This person will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
- Improving job knowledge and skills by networking and staying abreast of medical service rates in order to ensure up-to-date billing.
- Filing all patients medical records and information.
- Keep all medical records confidential and protected
- Complete clerical duties including answering phones responding to emails and processing patient admission and discharge records
- Ensure patient charts paperwork and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Inputting patient information and maintaining up-to-date records of patient data using computer software.
- Help patients understand billing and charges for which they are responsible
Requirements:
- Ability to multitask
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with great time-management skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Pass drug screen and fingerprint background check
- Proficientwith Microsoft Office
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in the healthcare field/ human resources
- High School Diploma
- Certification or degree in HR/ Medical Billing and Coding is preferred
