POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Altoona invites candidates for the job of Head Mens & Womens Wrestling Coach. Reports directly to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the management of all aspects of the mens & womens wrestling program.
Duties include but will not be limited to competition coaching recruitment of student athletes scheduling practice sessions team travel supporting student-athletes and the supervision of assistant coaches. Ability to physically demonstrate complex movements and skills required
Candidate must have demonstrated success in a wrestling program at the college or an equivalently high level including evidence of successful student retention and team success. Demonstrated ability to recruit motivate and develop Division III student-athletes knowledge of the sport and a verifiable ability to teach both fundamentals and strategies of the sport is necessary.
This person must possess a working knowledge of NCAA rules a commitment to high academic standards and the NCAA Division III philosophy. A successful candidate will have a reputation for integrity. Penn State Altoona is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). This position will assist with special projects and event management as needed.
