Location: Norwich
Salary:Circa 45000

This role would suit someone with a strong background in database administration particularly in PostgreSQL and SQL Server!

A bit about the job:
This role exists to ensure the performance integrity and security of Avivas databases.
Youll be joining our Tech Platforms team a collaborative group responsible for supporting the backbone of our digital infrastructure.
Youll design implement and maintain database systems ensuring they are robust scalable and secure.
Youll monitor database performance implement changes and apply new patches and versions when .
Youll perform database backups and recovery procedures including disaster recovery tests alongside troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues in a timely manner.
Youll create and maintain documentation related to database configurations processes and procedures.
Youll also work closely with developers and IT teams to optimize database solutions and support business-critical applications.
Some out-of-hours work support needed including evenings and weekends will be to support production deployments and general system maintenance.
Skills and experience were looking for:
Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) especially PostgreSQL and SQL Server. DB2 would be an advantage.
Strong understanding of database design implementation and maintenance.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization alongside familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with strong communication and collaboration skills

Salary Circa: 45000 (depending on location skills experience and qualifications)
