How Will You Make an Impact:

The Peptone Equipment Operator will perform manufacturing operations associated with the production of animal-based peptones.

This opportunity is with the UAW.

What We Offer Compensation

  • Competitive Hourly Pay Rate - $24.13
  • Afternoon Shift -Monday to Friday 3PM-11:30AM

A Day in the Life:

  • Prepare raw material for use in digest kettles.
  • Setup and operate digest kettles steam kettles and filter presses. Setup and load product in dryers.
  • Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of processes.
  • Record production data such as quantities produced and quality control measurements. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform autonomous maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure efficient performance.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures including maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and suggest ideas. Perform other duties as assigned by a Supervisor.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • No previous work experience required
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing operations production or lab setting or related field is helpful
  • Experience in a cGMP environment is helpful

Physical Requirements/ Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in wet and humid environments.
