Job Description
Position Overview
This person is the individual responsible for collecting data on students working with teachers counselors and school psychologists to devise a behavior plan for the student and evaluating the effectiveness of the plan. This person will be responsible for the following:
* Design behavioral interventionists for students
* Assist students in identifying inappropriate behaviors and develop better behavior alternatives
* Record the progress of children receiving special education services
Position/Assignment Information: Professional/Certified
Grades:All Level
Desired Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of behavioral characteristics associated with behavior disorders autism intellectual disabilities traumatic brain injuries and other behavior issues.
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to handle emotionally charged situations
