Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is looking for a strategic detail-driven Plan Review Supervisor (Civil Engineer Supervisor) to oversee complex engineering reviews and guide a team of Civil Engineers safeguarding Seattles essential assets.
This role is more than project oversight its about making sure that every street storm drain and utility connection built by or for the City of Seattle aligns with SPUs standards and long-term goals. Youll be at the center of a high-impact intersection where design meets sustainability collaboration meets regulation and your leadership sets the tone.

In this role you can expect to:
Lead and manage a team of 35 Civil Engineers conducting plan reviews of capital projects for impacts to SPU-owned water wastewater and drainage infrastructure
Assign and prioritize workloads to balance team capacity meet deadlines and maintain consistent quality across reviews and deliverables
Review construction plans and submittals for compliance with Seattles stormwater code SPU standards and City specifications
Education:Equivalent to a bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in engineering accounting business administration construction management public policy or a related field.
This position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Effective January 2025 City employees will have the option to work remotely two days a week. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.

The full salary range for this position is:$78.35 - $90.85 Hourly
