Job Title: CTE Coordinator/Master Teacher
Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: HS Principal

Primary Purpose:
The CTE Coordinator/Master Teacher serves as both an instructional leader and program coordinator to ensure the effective implementation of high-quality Career and Technical Education programs. This role supports teachers through coaching and professional development ensures TEKS-aligned instruction manages program compliance and builds partnerships with industry and post-secondary institutions. The coordinator plays a pivotal role in aligning instructional practices with workforce needs and district goals.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Education: Masters degree preferred.
Certification: Valid Texas teaching certificate in CTE or a related field
Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee
Experience:
Minimum 35 years of successful classroom experience in CTE or secondary education.
Demonstrated leadership experience in coaching curriculum or program coordination.
Knowledge of TEKS Perkins requirements and industry-based certifications.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong instructional coaching and mentoring skills
Ability to analyze data and implement instructional change
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of workforce development trends and career pathways
Effective organizational and time-management skills of staff development and the facilitation of adult learning

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

Motion: Repetitive hand motions frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Sensory ability needs-significant; hearing near vision peripheral vision color distinction depth perception
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: Frequent district-wide and state-wide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours Physical Exposure: frequent cold and heat
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
