JOB SUMMARY

Utilizes knowledge gained through sterile processing experience as defined by both regulatory and AAMI standards to assist Sterile processing colleagues in growth knowledge and quality. Will utilize these skills to coordinate education needs of the department assist in onboarding new staff with the coordination of the OR educator. Assists in the development and management of policies. Coordinate tray changes deletions management of instrument tracking system as well as tattooing of instrumentation throughout the organization. Will coordinate with the OR instrument coordinator on repairs replacement and identification of trays needing service. Will assist in the mentoring and growth of colleagues alongside the lead tech. Will assist the manager in productivity and process improvement initiatives. Will assist in staff evaluations and will act as the manager in the absence of the manager.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Type: Full-time 80 hours per 2 week pay period

Typical hours: 10:00a-6:30p

Education:

- High School diploma or GED- required

License/Certification:

- CRCST or CSPD certified- required

Experience:
- Minimum 3 (three) years of experience as a sterile processing tech or surgical tech- required
- Competent in all areas of SPD as determined by manager/director- required
