Job Title: Maintenance & Reliability Lead Global Operations Engineering

Location: Barcelona (Hybrid)

Job Description

This role will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and calibration processes and ensuring the reliability and performance of equipment and systems within our manufacturing sites. This role involves leading Managers and Engineers developing maintenance strategies and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will lead the Communities of Practice identifying and aligning on Best Practice to improve and maintain the Galderma standards and practices in order to achieve Top Quartile performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides & maintain standards & best practices linked to warehouse activities to local teams
• Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement comprehensive Global Policies Standards and practices relating to Maintenance and Calibration to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment an systems and their compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Own and maintain the Global Operations Maintenance and Calibration processes and their means and methods. Ensure harmonization and consistency Galderma sites worldwide.
• Lead and manage the Global Communities of Practice providing guidance in relation to Global Policies Standards and practices and their training providing support as necessary.
• Act as Global Process Owner for Computerized Maintenance and Calibration Management Systems (CMMS & CCMS respectively).
• Lead the drive to optimize planned maintenance and eliminate unplanned maintenance. Own the planned maintenance and calibration frequency at sites including shutdown planning.
• Lead the transformation from a Preventative to a Predictive Maintenance operating model where possible.
• Conduct assessments of Maintenance and Calibration activities on site identifying gaps and recommended corrective and preventative measures to increase the sites performance and maturity.
• Establish and activate the principles of Reliability Engineering. Through the maintenance and calibration needs assessment processes and ongoing assessment of their performance identify opportunities for continuous improvement by implementing best practices and innovative solutions to resolve bad actors.
• Benchmark cost of Maintenance and Calibration practices across our sites. Identify opportunities for improvement and support sites to deliver these.
• Own and manage the Asset Lifecyle Management Program (ALMP) ensuring that our assets are upgraded or replaced as necessary to support Business Continuity improve schedule adherence and OEE.
• Lead the development of Maintenance Calibration and Reliability functions talent geared toward succession planning and career coaching/mentoring.
• Educate and contribute to Organizational upskilling by developing training plans for staff to ensure adequate training of all new and existing employees to maximum performance.
• Ensure effective interdepartmental relationships to meet the assigned goals of the organization.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field required. Masters Degree preferred.
• Over 12 years of solid experience in maintenance calibration and reliability engineering within a manufacturing or operational environment (variety of products/size of facilities).
• Extensive experience in managing budgets and optimizing resource allocation for maintenance and calibration activities.
• Experience of working within a multi-stakeholder environment where competing needs must be managed effectively to deliver results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
• Demonstrated ability to set strategy execute results lead teams build relationships and influence.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including executive level. Can interact with employees effectively persuasively and tactfully at all levels of the organization. Must be able to clearly communicate messages in a timely manner.
• Strong planning and organizational skills. Excellent program management skills with emphasis on identifying requirements and articulating them successfully within project & program plans.

• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
