Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Business Development and Strategys Air and Trade Show function is responsible for creating and executing world-class customer experiences and events that bring a competitive edge to Boeing/s global presence.

BDS is seeking an Air and Trade Show Manager to join the Business Development and Strategy Air and Trade Show team.

As a leader within the Air and Trade Show team you will provide management guidance and support in strategic event planning and marketing support to various BDS programs primarily focused on an international portfolio. The position will be located in either Chicago IL or Arlington VA reporting to the Senior Manager of Air and Trade Shows for Boeing Defense Space and Security.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads a team of strategic and engaged individuals that deliver superior performance and outcomes at international air & trade shows.
• Creates and fosters a positive inclusive team culture promotes creative thinking and prioritizes each team members growth and development
• Coordinates and effectively communicates with key executives and business partners to ensure strategic alignment between Air and Trade Show plans and business/program/site goals and objectives.
• Plans and coordinates multiple complex Air Shows and events utilizing extensive knowledge of U.S. and foreign government regulations international cultures and customs company policies and procedures based on strategic business objectives.
• Strengthens internal and external customer partner and supplier network.
• Ensures enterprise integration by developing creative solutions and collaborating with business units and enterprise stakeholders.
• Facilitates process improvements based on in-depth analysis of feedback.
• Drives innovative exhibit design strategies and cutting edge technology initiatives
• Manages complex budget and consistently meets affordability targets
• Models Seek Speak and Listen behaviors

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors degree
• 5 years of experience creating and delivering key briefings both to senior leadership as well as to multi-function teams through the organization
• 5 years of experience planning organizing and executing large scale meetings/event (international air shows preferred)
• 5 years of experience managing complex budgets
• 5 years of experience with managing multiple projects concurrently
• 5 years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives customers stakeholders peers and partners

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Previous people management roles
• 1 year of experience leading geographically dispersed/global teams
• Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM) Certification .

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 40% of the time.

Summary pay range: $131750 - $178250
