Job Description
Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta serving the education needs of approximately 17950 students in 42 schools. EIPS is recruiting a temporary part-time (0.533 FTE) Kindergarten Teacher at Fultonvale Elementary Junior High. The successfulcandidate will teach Monday select Wednesdays and Thursdays following the Schedule A Kindergarten calendar.
Fultonvale Elementary Junior High serves approximately 500 students in kindergarten to Grade 9 with 24 teaching staff and 11 support staff. The school is located in rural Strathcona County AB approximately 13 kilometres southeast of Sherwood Park AB.
The Fultonvale Elementary Junior High mission is to provide a positive environment where students are able to develop to their full potential. The school promotes lifelong learning and continuous personal growth and development for all students staff and families. The school motto Feel the H.E.A.T. represents the basic beliefs of heart excellence attitude and teamwork.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe supported and challenged
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
