Job Description

Overview
As a Radiologist MD DNB DMRD at Apollo Hospital Karaikudi TN you will be a key member of our healthcare team responsible for diagnosing and interpreting a variety of imaging studies. Your expertise will significantly impact patient care and treatment planning. You will utilize advanced imaging technologies such as X-rays MRI CT scans and ultrasounds to assist in diagnosing internal conditions injuries and diseases. Collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals is crucial to ensure accurate diagnoses and to provide patients with the best possible care. The role requires not only technical skills but also effective communication and a compassionate approach to patient management. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays MRIs CT scans and ultrasounds.
  • Consult with referring physicians regarding patient imaging studies and diagnosis.
  • Prepare detailed reports based on imaging results for clinical decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in imaging practices.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and tumor boards.
  • Provide guidance to radiology technicians and medical staff.
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiology practices and technologies.
  • Conduct research and contribute to clinical trials as needed.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and education.
  • Respond promptly to emergency imaging requests.
  • Assist in the development of departmental protocols and procedures.
  • Educate patients about imaging procedures and address their concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and audits.
  • Contribute to hospital initiatives for improving patient services.
Required Qualifications
  • MD in Radiology from a recognized institution.
  • DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Radiology.
  • DMRD (Diploma in Medical Radio-Diagnosis) qualification.
  • Current medical license to practice in India.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in diagnostic radiology.
  • Proficient in interpreting a wide range of imaging studies.
  • Strong understanding of radiographic safety and risk management.
  • Skilled in using PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
  • Experience with interventional radiology is an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training.
  • Strong ethical standards and professional integrity.
