Job Description
Overview: The TGT Science Teacher plays a critical role in shaping and developing students understanding of scientific concepts and principles from grades 6 to 8. This position requires a dedicated individual with a passion for teaching and a profound knowledge of science. The TGT Science Teacher is responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking. In addition to delivering high-quality instruction the teacher will also design assessments track student progress and incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences. This role is vital in helping students develop essential skills that will serve them in higher education and future career paths. By encouraging enthusiasm for science the teacher helps students appreciate the relevance of scientific discoveries in everyday life and empowers them to become inquisitive learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with academic standards and student needs.
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction to facilitate learning and understanding of scientific concepts.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Utilize various teaching strategies and resources including technology to enhance learning.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.

- Organize and supervise science-related extracurricular activities and events.
- Support differentiated learning by addressing individual student needs and learning styles.
- Stay current with advancements in scientific research and educational best practices.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Communicate effectively with parents faculty and administration regarding student needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Science Education Biology Chemistry Physics or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for TGT Science.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching science at the middle school level.
- Strong knowledge of science curriculum and educational standards.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and teaching software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster a collaborative classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Understanding of diverse learning needs and how to address them.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to integrate hands-on activities and experiments in teaching.
- Willingness to engage actively in school community and extracurricular activities.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
- Familiarity with science assessment techniques and student evaluation methods.
