Overview
The PGT English Teacher plays a crucial role in shaping the future of students by imparting knowledge in the English language and literature. Key Responsibilities

- Encourage critical thinking and open discussion through literature analysis and discourse.
- Provide individual support and personalized learning opportunities for students.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends.
- Maintain records of student attendance performance and assessment outcomes.
- Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a disciplined learning environment.
- Support students in their preparation for examinations and school assessments.
- Encourage a love for reading and literature through themed activities and discussions.
- Advise students on academic and personal development as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in English Education or a related field.
- Bachelor of Education . or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Proven knowledge of modern teaching methods and pedagogy.
- Familiarity with the curriculum and assessment standards for senior secondary education.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use educational technology effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and academic success.
- Knowledge of diverse learning needs and ability to adapt teaching styles.
- Proficiency in classroom management and behavior strategies.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Experience in developing creative teaching materials and assessments.
