Job Description
Overview:
The SAP FICO Consultant plays a critical role in the integration and optimization of financial processes within an organization. This position involves working closely with financial departments understanding their requirements and translating those needs into the SAP FICO system. The consultant is responsible for ensuring the system supports efficient financial operations compliance with regulations and alignment with overall business objectives. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of financial data facilitating better decision-making and enhancing operational efficiency. The consultant will gather and analyze requirements design solutions and provide ongoing support post-implementation. By leveraging deep knowledge of finance and controlling (FICO) within SAP the consultant impacts the organization s financial performance making this position pivotal in achieving the companys strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to financial processes.
- Configure SAP FICO modules to meet specific financial needs.
- Implement and test SAP FICO solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users.
- Assist in troubleshooting SAP-related issues and providing solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop documentation for processes and configurations.
- Stay updated on SAP FICO trends and enhancements.
- Support data migration efforts and ensure data integrity.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
- Conduct system audits to ensure compliance.
- Participate in project planning and status meetings.
- Assist in developing financial reporting structures.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization within FICO.
- Ensure adequate testing of all FICO solutions prior to deployment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an SAP FICO Consultant.
- Strong knowledge of SAP FICO modules including GL AP AR and CO.
- Experience with SAP implementation and support projects.
- Familiarity with financial accounting and reporting standards.
- Proficient in configuration and customization of SAP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of integration points with other SAP modules.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with end-user training and support.
- SAP certification in FICO is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Ability to travel as required for project needs.
