Job Description

A leading food processing and milling company is looking for an experienced and quality-focused Production Manager Food to oversee daily operations optimize production processes and ensure compliance with safety and food standards. The ideal candidate will manage plant activities end-to-end from raw material intake to final product dispatch.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan organize and control production operations to ensure optimal output quality and cost-effectiveness.

  • Manage all manufacturing processes related to food milling grinding packaging and dispatch.

  • Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet delivery timelines.

  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards (FSSAI HACCP ISO 22000 etc.).

  • Coordinate with the quality assurance team to implement quality checks throughout the production cycle.

  • Maintain and improve plant efficiency minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

  • Supervise production staff including training task delegation and performance evaluations.

  • Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and packaging materials in coordination with the procurement team.

  • Implement and oversee Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations including labor safety and environmental standards.

  • Prepare daily weekly and monthly production reports for management review.



Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Food Technology Mechanical Engineering Industrial Production or related field.

  • 5 8 years of experience in a food manufacturing or milling plant with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • In-depth knowledge of food processing equipment milling techniques and safety protocols.

  • Familiar with quality certifications such as ISO HACCP and FSSAI.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Proficient in production software and MS Office tools.

  • Ability to analyze data identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
