Job Description

Clearance: Must Have NV1 Clearance
Location: Williamstown
We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to join a high-performance team based on-site at RAAF Base Williamtown. You must hold an NV1 clearance and be experienced in network engineering systems administration and enterprise-level infrastructure.
Role Summary:
You will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining securing and optimizing network infrastructure.
  • Providing systems support across simulation and exercise networks.
  • Leading change management configuration baselining and documentation efforts.
  • Supporting system architecture enhancements and troubleshooting failures.
  • Delivering technical support for exercises including overnight operations aligned with US time zones.
  • Assisting with ICT security accreditation and Test & Evaluation processes.
Key Deliverables:
  1. Establish baseline configurations and system documentation.
  2. Support integration and simulation software across distributed networks.
  3. Deliver systems admin functions: updates patches security configs.
  4. Monitor system health and manage obsolescence.
  5. Liaise across Defence and coalition stakeholders.
  6. Provide mentoring and guidance to RAAF staff.
This is a mission-critical role requiring strong autonomy problem-solving ability and dedication to supporting Defence operations.
