Are you looking to work with a leading EPC company committed to delivering multi-disciplinary oil & gas projects across Nigeria As part of their expansion and project execution efforts we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Planning & Control Engineer to manage scheduling tracking and reporting activities across complex construction and engineering projects.
What You ll Do
Project Scheduling & Control
- Develop and maintain multi-level (Level 1 5) project schedules resource allocations (manpower/materials/equipment) and control procedures to ensure effective project execution.
- Monitor physical progress and provide trend analyses critical path evaluations and schedule forecasts.
- Conduct risk and sensitivity analyses to evaluate schedule impacts and identify corrective actions.
Progress Measurement & Reporting
- Generate daily weekly and monthly reports on project status including earned value productivity metrics and forecast completions.
- Prepare and update S-curves manpower histograms and productivity monitoring data to support decision-making.
- Evaluate and report on the impact of approved scope changes and deviations from milestones.
Change Management & Analysis
- Assess and reconcile changes between baseline and updated schedules.
- Provide schedule impact assessments to support change control and project reviews.
- Implement and oversee systems for time charging and manpower utilization.
Project Bench marking & Risk Tracking
- Apply probabilistic methods to predict schedule outcomes and float consumption.
- Benchmark current project schedules against historical data to improve performance.
- Track schedule risk mitigation activities and highlight paths to timely project completion.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers site engineers and control teams to ensure consistent schedule alignment and progress measurement.
- Participate in internal and client-facing project review meetings.
Health Safety and Environment (HSE)
- Comply fully with company HSE regulations and contribute to maintaining a safe project execution environment.

Requirements
Who You Are
- . in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a planning and controls role within the oil & gas sector.
- Proven involvement in EPC fabrication shutdowns turnarounds and plant expansions across civil mechanical and E&I disciplines.
What You Bring
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Strong grasp of scheduling methodologies earned value management and reporting tools.
