The Internship Experience
Picture this: youll have the opportunity to work alongside a team of skilled specialists experienced nurses and passionate support staff. From day one youll be fully immersed in the exciting world of small animal veterinary medicine with close involvement with our other departments (surgery oncology radiology ophthalmology and emergency). With an emphasis on work-life balance there are no evening shifts required. This is your chance to learn grow and make a meaningful impact on the lives of furry companions and their devoted owners.
Qualifications :
Your Responsibilities
As an intern youll be at the forefront of veterinary care participating in a variety of tasks that will challenge and inspire you. Heres just a taste of what you can expect:
- You will assist in medical case management and be closely involved in the assessment diagnosis and care of a diverse variety of challenging medical cases
- Observing and assisting in surgical procedures both routine and complex
- Participating in rounds case discussions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and practical skills.
- Providing compassionate care to our furry patients and their families offering support and empathy during challenging times
Qualifications
Were seeking candidates who embody our core values of compassion dedication and a genuine love for animals. Here are the prerequisites for applying:
- Eligible for Veterinary registration in NSW
- Ideally 1 year of clinical experience or a strong knowledge base on which to build.
- Demonstrated passion for small animal veterinary medicine
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Eagerness to learn and a growth mindset
