Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs 2-D Echo and Doppler studies.
- Performs Stress Echo studies.
- Responsible for performing a variety of noninvasive vascular evaluations
- Explains procedures to patients and obtains informed consent from patient.
- Ensures all required licensure/certification always remain active/current.
- Provides excellent customer service and the highest quality patient care.
- At all times protects the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) of patients per HIPAA regulations; including does not review his/her own record or records of employees or co-workers without a need to know.
- Actively demonstrates teamwork.
- Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
- Always adheres to company safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience preferred.
- Credentialed in Adult Echocardiography and Vascular (ARDMS or CCI) is required.
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong knowledge of echocardiography and vascular ultrasound techniques protocols and equipment.
- Excellent patient interaction skills with the ability to explain procedures and provide compassionate care.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to accurately capture and interpret imaging results.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively withhealthcare professionals and patients.
- Ability to handle potentially stressful situations with professionalism and composure.
Minimum Qualifications
- An Associates degree.
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) orCardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) in Echocardiography and/or VascularUltrasound.
- Two (2) years of experience in imaging technology as an assistant or technician.

Work Environment
- Sedentary work environment. Work performed generally in the office environment. Andrequires limited physical ergonomic or emotional efforts. Work may generally requirewalking standing bending kneeling carrying light loads and lifting no more than 10pounds.
