CT/Rad Tech Dual Modality

• About Facility:
  • Facility is a freestanding ED providing Emergency care
  • 12 ED beds
  • Facility offers DX CT and US Imaging
  • Radius rule: Travelers permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
• Department Information:
  • Average Scans per day:
    • DX/CT 28
  • Minimum Years of Experience required 1 year in specialty
  • Will you accept a first-time traveler Dependent on experience
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
  • Emergency patients: MVC SOB Falls Injuries DVTs
• Required License National Certification Certs (BLS ACLS etc.) or other position specific requirements such as Drivers License and/or Insurance:
  • Dual Modality DX/CT Tech: BLS and ARRT RT(R)(CT)
• Skills required:
  • Dual Modality DX/CT Tech: Skilled in both DX and CT for Dual technologist requests
• Support within the Department:
  • Typically 2-3 technologists within radiology is staffed during the same shift. 1- ultrasound 2 dual DX/CT techs depending on shift.
• Technology/Equipment:
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Phillips ISite/PACS
    • Department specific Equipment:
      • GE CT Scanner
      • Siemens S2000 US machine
      • Shimadzu XR equipment
• Floating: If yes where
  • DX/CT Tech may take 2 nights a month of call for two freestanding ED facilities
• Orientation (facility and unit):
  • 3 days departmental
• Scheduling:
  • On call 2 nights a month. Technologist has the opportunity to choose the 2 nights.
  • Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
  • RTO: Manager approval
• Other notes:
  • Scrub Color: Black
  • Parking: Free Yes. Employee parking in the back of the facility
