The work location of this position is 25 South Front Street Columbus Ohio 43215. You will be required to report to this work location full-time if selected.

Serves as an unclassified employee pursuant to Section 124.11 (A) (30) O.R.C:
Coordinates school belonging initiatives and supports within the Office of Whole Child Supports across the agency and externally when appropriate and as requested:
Formulates and implements internal policies and procedures related toschool belonging attendance family and community engagement.
Serves as project manager for Ohios programs and policies related to school belonging attendance climate discipline family and community engagement.
Provides technical assistance to schools and districts for improving family and community engagement school climate attendance addressing non-academic barriers to learning and building community partnerships to assist districts and schools in creating comprehensive systems of learning supports;
Provides technical assistance to families and students related to school climate discipline and attendance policies and procedures;
Builds maintains coordinates and facilitates cross-agency teams;
Supports safe and supportive school environment policies and best practices;
Writes and updates policies and informs best practices;
Serves as a liaison and manages the relationship and work between the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and external stakeholders including Ohios Statewide Family Engagement Center grantees or procured contractors or others involved in topic areas pertaining to this role
Coordinates and integrates school climate attendance and family engagement throughout DEW in alignment with state and federal law and policy;
Connects with internal and external stakeholders on how to integrate school climate attendance and family engagement within other areas of their work;
Provides professional development training technical assistance and consultation to stakeholders regional state support teams (SST) and educational service centers (ESCs) to build capacity to implement Tier 1 2 and 3 interventions that support attendance Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports school climate and safety trauma-informed care literacy graduation success workforce development and family and community engagement;
Performs other duties as assigned including:
Assists with special projects.
Supports Office communications and other team initiatives.
Writes reports and gives presentations.
Collaborates with other state agencies professional organizations/associations to ensure technical assistance and professional development initiatives are focused on improving results for vulnerable populations of students.
