Job Description
We are expanding our Business Assurance team which conducts dairy farm audits and are now seeking a new colleague with strong knowledge and experience in agriculture and dairy farming.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Lead Animal Welfare Auditor you will:
- Conduct on-site audits at farms to ensure compliance with quality programs related to animal welfare hygiene and milk quality
- Manage clear and consistent communication with the client as their local point of contact
- Plan and manage your own audit schedule
- Manage a team of auditors and facilitate coaching and training
- Travel regularly with occasional overnight stays depending on your location.
Qualifications :
Essential:
Were looking for someone who has:
- Hands-on experience in agriculture particularly in dairy farming
- Solid understanding of animal welfare
- Post secondary education in agriculture or similar relevant subject
- Strong communication skills and the ability to share knowledge in a respectful and engaging way
- Proficiency in English written and spoken
- Driving license
- Good IT skills and comfort with digital tools
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a leadership/managerial position
- Previous experience in auditing or inspection roles
