PSEG operates under a Flexible Work Model where flexible work is offered when job requirements allow. In support of this model roles have been categorized into one of four work location categories: onsite roles hybrid roles that are a blend of onsite and remote work remote local roles that are primarily home-based but require some level of purpose-driven in-person interaction and living within a commutable distance and remote non-local roles that can be effectively performed remotely with the ability to work in approved states.

Competencies

Job Summary

Manage development design and implementation of licensed and non-licensed operator training programs for SalemorHope Creek generating Stations in accordance with regulatory and INPO requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and establish standards for conduct of operator training and evaluate adherence to them;
  • Manage and direct the Operations Training Staff and Consultants in delivery of training programs.
  • Develop and administer a zero-based budget coordinated with approved goals & objectives;
  • Maintain current theoretical and practical knowledge of plant systems & operating characteristics.

Job Specific Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • BS in Engineering or related technology/science degree. In lieu of a degree 7 years of license operating experience at a commercial Nuclear Power Plant.
  • SRO license/certification is required (active or previous).
  • In addition to the degree requirement must have a minimum of 5 years commercial nuclear power experience which shall include 3 years of supervisory experience and at least 2 years must be in operations/operations training.
  • Must possess current theoretical & practical knowledge of Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) or Boiling Water Reactor (BWR)/plant systems operating characteristics nuclear fuel handling nuclear operations and emergency procedures.
  • Must be able to fulfill outage duties & be able to participate in the emergency response organization.
  • Must meet and maintain nuclears requirements for unescorted plant access.

DESIRED:

  • Previous accreditation of training experience.
  • NRC/Regulatory experience.
  • Simulator software/hardware coordination or oversight experience.
