The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity for a seasoned Accounts Payable professional to lead a team of dedicated and passionate staff. As the Transactional Services Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments. You will supervise day to day operations but also support the team during high volume periods.
This is a Full Time vacancy.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and manage the accounts payable team including assigning tasks setting priorities and conducting performance evaluations.
- Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and ensure high performance.
- Oversee the processing of invoices ensuring timely and accurate payments in accordance with company policies.
- Review and approve high-value or complex transactions and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end processing including the preparation of relevant general journals and assist in the preparation of General ledger reconciliations.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and address any payment or account issues promptly.
- Negotiate payment terms and resolve disputes to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
- Prepare and review accounts payable reports ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Reconcile accounts payable records with general ledger entries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.
- Develop and update procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls financial regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with procurement and payment procedures to minimize financial risk.
- Collaborate with other departments such as procurement property and finance to streamline processes and resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members vendors and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and resolution of issues.
- Coordinate credit card applications and reconciliations
About you
- Tertiary qualification in accounting business commerce or a related field and or demonstrated experience
- Extensive experience in accounts payable with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes accounting principles and financial controls.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
