Description

The Service & Team:

The Records Management & Disclosure team support both the Care & Wellbeing and Together for Families Directorates providing specialist records management and disclosure guidance and advice.

The Role:

The Business Support Manager (Records Management & Disclosures) is responsible for coordinating organising and managing the Records Management & Disclosure team to deliver and meet high levels of service demand.

You will provide the monitoring of performance and quality of outputs of individual team members providing ongoing support and mentoring. The role will support the team to respond to service requirements timescales and performance targets.

The postholder will work alongside other Business Support and corporate colleagues to help deliver an efficient business support function in these increasingly demanding areas of the business ensuring timely and effective support to all customers through clear systems processes and policies.

You will oversee the development review and streamline of processes to respond to service requirements timescales and performance targets. You will work closely with colleagues in relation to system implementations as well as ensuring the provision and accuracy of data to ensure we sustain the highest level of service.

Working Pattern:

Cornwall Councils full-time working hours are 37 per week Monday to Friday with the ability to flex working hours around core times.

We are happy to talk about flexible working options such as part-time or compressed examples of our flexible working opportunities can be foundhere -flexible working options.

This role is based at our Bodmin office and has the option for home working when attendance at the office is not required.

What youll need to succeed:

You will be able to demonstrates strong people management skills within an administrative/business support role and a high level of competency in terms of coaching and motivating a team to meet the demands of the service.

Experience and knowledge of data subject rights and a good understanding of records management are a must.

You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to produce good quality accurate written documentation and use your initiative to obtain resolutions.

There will be a mix of working proactively in relation to day-to-day work as well as escalating matters and seeking agreement in respect of external actions for improvement.
