This leadership role is responsible for guiding the end-to-end technology function across both operational and industrial systems. Day-to-day youll oversee a multidisciplinary team covering IT support cybersecurity SCADA/OT systems and infrastructure. Youll also be the key contact for high-impact vendors and ensure seamless collaboration across internal stakeholders and external delivery partners.
Youll play a strategic role in aligning cloud-first infrastructure embedding SOCI-aligned governance and standardising systems across a complex portfolio of energy assets. This includes leading OT and SCADA architecture stabilising cyber controls and optimising platforms like Procore SAP and Power Factors. With two critical hires to make in the first 6 months youll shape the team structure to meet both current and future demands.
Beyond BAU operations the focus is on transformation. Youll drive adoption of AI and automation to improve efficiency in asset construction and lifecycle management integrate new platforms as part of growth and M&A and rationalise legacy systems. Theres a clear mandate for uplift and innovation-this is a rare opportunity to help build a mature scalable technology environment that enables commercial and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
Candidate Profile
You are a commercially aware technically grounded leader with strong experience managing both IT and OT environments. You understand the nuance of operating within critical infrastructure or industrial settings and are comfortable navigating complex vendor landscapes and project-based delivery models. Experience aligning cyber and SCADA frameworks particularly under SOCI-style regulation will be highly regarded.
Your leadership style is steady collaborative and grounded in integrity. Youve led multidisciplinary teams before assessed capability gaps and optimised structures to meet evolving business needs. You enjoy mentoring others bringing clarity to complex problems and influencing decisions through trust and insight not just title. Your ability to simplify technical conversations for non-technical audiences is one of your key strengths.
Ideally you bring exposure to the energy or renewables sector along with a genuine interest in innovation sustainability and scalable systems design. You thrive in environments that are professionalising where structure is growing but agility still matters. With a natural curiosity clear communication style and resilience under pressure youll play a central role in shaping a tech function fit for the future.
