Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision from the Warden Chief of Inmate Grievance Branch and central office inmate grievance administrators performs a wide variety of administrative duties for the Inmate Grievance Branch.
  • Investigates grievances by conducting thorough and impartial inquiries of circumstances pertaining to grievances through interviews with inmates and staff.

  • Analyzes specific information obtained and prepares recommendations designed to resolve problems at the lowest possible level.

  • Reviews and researches SCDC policies relevant/mandated statues disciplinary tapes and any documentation related to grievances.

  • Interprets rules regulations policies and procedures as they apply to day-to-day operations and to the grievance procedures accepts and forwards appeals to the central office serves inmates with step 1 and step 2 grievance decisions and performs other duties as assigned.

Must successfully complete four (4) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
