Griffin Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Assistant (Level 5) to support our MRI department and overall Diagnostic Imaging Center operations. This multifaceted role includes front-end office functions outpatient scheduling and precertification clinical support and technical assistance. The ideal candidate will possess both administrative and clinical competencies to ensure seamless patient care and departmental efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient registration and assist with front office duties
Manage outpatient scheduling and insurance precertification
Collect copays and handle related financial transactions
Conduct phlebotomy procedures and perform EKGs
Provide clinical assistance to technical and physician staff
Support daily operations within the MRI department
Navigate multiple software systems including Microsoft Office
Maintain a high level of patient interaction and customer service
Ensure accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred training in computer operation data entry or word processing
Experience:
13 years of medical office experience required
Proficiency in medical terminology and Microsoft Office required
Experience with copay collection required
13 years of phlebotomy experience required; phlebotomy certification preferred
13 years of EKG experience required
Skills & Abilities:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet time-sensitive demands
Excellent coordination skills and physical stamina; extensive walking required
Capacity to concentrate despite frequent interruptions
Ability to retain complex instructions and manage multiple ongoing tasks
