Job Description

Project/Team: Project Manager Facilities and Construction GSA (Anticipated)
Location: Silver Spring MD (White Oak Campus)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Number of Vacancies: 1
Clearance Required: HSPD-12 and Background Check (required post-offer)

Background:

Navanti is seeking a skilled Project Manager Facilities and Construction to support federal infrastructure initiatives at the FDAs White Oak Campus in Silver Spring MD. The selected candidate will coordinate multi-agency construction efforts involving the General Services Administration (GSA) U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Air Force (USAF). This role focuses on oversight of electrical mechanical and structural projects and ensures compliance with federal standards and timelines.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing procurement documentation and managing construction projects valued up to $250000 while adhering to government contracting and safety regulations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop scopes of work Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) and procurement documents for federal construction projects.
  • Manage construction efforts involving electrical mechanical and structural systems.
  • Coordinate with GSA FDA and USAF stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Monitor project timelines budgets and compliance with applicable federal regulations.

Technical Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship and a valid drivers license are required.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing federal construction projects (up to $250000).
  • Familiarity with FAR DFARS MS Project BlueBeam and KAHUA platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with federal campus infrastructure and multi-agency construction collaboration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to manage stakeholder expectations and reporting.
  • Proven ability to track and manage detailed project plans budgets and timelines.
