About your role:

As the Director of Software Development at Fiserv you will be a key leader in our organization overseeing a talented software development team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge software solutions for Fiservs Output Solutions. In this role you will drive the development strategy and ensure alignment with our companys goals and objectives. With production capabilities leading the industry in credit card personalization you will harness multiple technologies and software to deliver exceptional products to our customers.

What youll do:

  • Lead and manage a group of 15 distributed software developers providing guidance mentorship and support to drive high performance.
  • Develop and implement software development processes standards and best practices to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management and IT to define software requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in software development practices and technologies.
  • Manage software development projects including planning resource allocation and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to make recommendations for software architecture and development tools.

Experience youll need to have:

  • 9 years of experience in software development
  • 3 years of experience as a people manager
  • Proven track record of leading successful software development projects from conception to delivery.
  • Strong technical expertise in software development methodologies programming languages and software architecture.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or a relevant field and/or equivalent military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience in credit card personalization or output services industry
  • Masters degree in computer science or a relevant field
  • Experience working in Agile development environment

How youll work:

Travel:

  • Approximately 20% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected
